Woody Fincham, SRA, AI-RRS started his career in Hampton Roads, VA working for a small fee practice that focused mostly on mortgage-use reports. In 2004, he co-founded and managed what became a very successful residential fee practice that had a strong portfolio of lender clients as well as non-lender clients, FM & Associates, Inc. He sold his interest in his firm in 2008. He then moved into government assessment work moving up quickly to executive level management. He lives in Charlottesville, VA with his family but splits his practice areas between the Charlottesville area and the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Woody is also an approved instructor with the Appraisal Institute. Previously, Woody was the Residential Chief Appraiser with Valucentric, a national valuation firm.
Most recently, Woody founded and is now running his own practice based in Charlottesville, VA. He was affiliated as a franchisee with Accurity Valuation. As of January 2022, the firm is completely independent and no longer affiliated with any franchise company. He is well known for his work with high-performance homes (PV Solar Arrays, HERS, LEED, Pearl, Earthcraft), equestrian proprieties, mansion, conservation easement, homes with premium views (mountain panorama, waterfront), large size homes and large acreage. His firm is also busy with normal lender work as well as non -lender related that deals with services in forensic review, review, VDOT, diminution in value, easements, litigation and consulting.
